The Bountiful High Mandonelles successfully defended its Region 5 championships with an overall first-place showing Jan. 20 at Roy High School. They won the Dance and Show categories while coming in second in Military. 

“We had great fan support from the community who came all the way up to Roy High to cheer us on. We even had Monica from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake show up and cheer for us,” said head coach Alba Butler. Bountiful closed out the regular season competitions undefeated and will enter the 5A state semifinals Jan. 30 as the number one seed. “We’re looking forward to giving it our all and going for the state title!” 

The 2023-24 Mandonelles include Ady Lillywhite, Ainsley Ribble, Andie Polster, Ava Box, Bella Madsen, Bella Oborn, Camryn Page, Elsa Harper, Gabriela Nielsen, Jasmine Icasiano, Jayci Malmrose, Jessica Nielsen, Kate Derrick, Kennedy Hendricks, Kiley Ingles, Leigha Ozminski, Lily Ray, Madi Christopherson, Marin Reeves, McKinley Gilchrist, McKinley Ridwell, Mia Bright, Mylie Frazier, Penny Pilkington, Presli Rieck, Rainee Allred, Sadie Russon, Sophia St. John and Sophie Hendricks. Butler was assisted by Kali Breckenridge and Andy Truong on the coaching staff.

Viewmont

The Viewmont High Vykelles placed second overall at the Region 5 championships, taking first in Military and second in Dance and Show.

On the 2023-24 Vykelles this season are Libby Allred, Sarah Anderson, Allie Andrew, Elle Bloomfield, Gracie Boardman, Paislee DiMaria, Kenadee Eskelson, River Farrell, Addie Fenton, Berklie Fox, Lindsie Fry, Charli Fuller, Alexandra Gee, Sydnee Hawkes, Lily Holt, Isabel Jorgensen, Macey Kurtz, Kate Lauder, Kennedy Nielsen, Kylee Nielsen, Mia Peterson, Tessa Pitt, Sophia Preston, Lauren Salimbene, Leah Sonntag, Adee Walton, Hannah Winder and Ava Wright.
Head coaches Bailee Hadlock and Kayla Bagshaw, were assisted on the coaching staff by Whitney Galbraith, Brittany Anderson and Melanie Walker. Bagshaw choreographed all of the team’s routines this season.

Woods Cross

The Woods Cross High Chatelles placed fifth overall at the Region 5 championships. The team received fourth-places in Military and Show and a fifth in Dance.
