Firefighter Mitch Probert graduated from Utah Valley University’s Paramedic Program. Over the past year, Probert has attended hundreds of hours of schooling and clinical rotations to get to this point. Probert will join other Kaysville advanced life support medical providers in taking care of the residents of Kaysville.

Kaysville Firefighters passed the in-house “Acting Driver” test, allowing them to drive and operate fire engines and ladder truck when the full-time driver (Engineer) is on leave. The testing process included an essay, a written test, a driving practical, and a pumping practical.

Before testing, the firefighters had to pass two Utah Fire and Rescue Academy/UFRA Apparatus Driver/Operator classes for certification and complete in-house checkoffs for driving, pumping, and operating equipment.

During the recognitions, the Kaysville Fire Department praised Firefighters Garrett Matthews, Wes Daugherty, Mike Hays, Colton Bascom and Brandon Holt for their hard work and dedication.
