BOUNTIFUL—A man was shot and killed in the early morning hours Thursday in a residential

neighborhood in Bountiful. An investigation is underway to determine what led up to the

shooting.

“About 1 a.m. Bountiful Police received reports of shots fired at 1950 S. Bonneview Dr.,” said

Bountiful Police Lt. Andrew Smith. “When officers responded they found a 20-year-old male in

the roadway with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was given medical attention and

transported to a local hospital where he passed away from his injuries.”

Smith said they found 18 shell casings at the scene. “We’re still putting the pieces of the puzzle
