Layton city will be getting the holiday season underway on Monday, November 23 when they turn on the lights of the city's 'Lights Before Christmas' display at Layton Commons Park (465 N, Wasatch Drive).

This year, one lucky Layton child will have the honor of flipping the switch to get the festivities started. The city held a coloring page contest, the winner of which will be the honorary switch-flipper.

The festive luminary decorations will be lighting up winter evenings from dusk until 11 p.m. each evening until Dec. 31.

This year, visitors are encouraged to wear a mask and socially distance in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
