Davis Journal is partnering with Mountain Orthopaedics of Bountiful for our Athletes of the Week contest. Winners were chosen by our Journal sportswriters with input from local coaches.

Our male athlete of the week is Bountiful basketball player Henry Smith, who scored 23 points (including seven three-pointers) nine rebounds and four assists in a win over Viewmont. 

Other male nominees were basketball players Austin Frasure of Davis, Truman Hendry of Farmington, Keegan Phung of Woods Cross and Radek Pulsipher of Viewmont.

Our female athlete of the week is Davis basketball player Kylee Mabry, who scored a total of 52 points in victories over Clearfield and Layton last week.

Other female nominees were basketball players Emrie Satuala and Jordyn Harvey of Bountiful, Grace Mackay of Viewmont, Annie Michaelis of Woods Cross and Delaney Baker of Farmington.
