Davis Journal is partnering with Mountain Orthopaedics of Bountiful for our Athletes of the Week contest. Winners were chosen by our Journal sportswriters with input from local coaches.

Our male athlete of the week is Farmington basketball player Collin Chandler, who scored 28 points, including six three-pointers, in a win over Box Elder.

Other male nominees were basketball players Chance Trujillo of Davis, Brash Emery of Viewmont, Keegan Phung of Woods Cross and Robert Whaley of Bountiful.

Our female athlete of the week is Davis basketball player Kylee Mabry. She scored 27 points in wins over Syracuse and Layton last week.

Other female nominees were basketball players Lizzie McConkie of Bountiful, Kalee Smith of Viewmont, Sofia Mokofisi of Woods Cross and Delaney Baker of Farmington.
