Davis Journal is partnering with Mountain Orthopaedics of Bountiful for our Athletes of the Week contest. Winners were chosen by our Journal sportswriters with input from local coaches.

Our male athlete of the week is Farmington lacrosse player Cole Beynon, who had seven goals and three assists in wins over Northridge and Wasatch.

Other male nominees were:

Trey Talbot, Davis baseball, who had a double and two RBIs in the win over Layton.

Woods Cross baseball player Dax Weierman, who had a pair of RBIs in a win over Herriman.

Dallin Burgin, who scored a goal for the Braves in a loss to Riverton.

Collin Tulles, who scored a goal for Viewmont in the win over West.

Davis lacrosse player Hayden Hamson, who scored five times and had an assist in a win over Highland.

Our female athlete of the week is Bountiful softball player Eva Stoddard, who hit three home runs and drove in seven runs in Bountiful’s 19-3 win over Northridge last week.

Other female nominees were:

Viewmont softball player Anna Moore, who had seven RBIs in wins over Highland and Brighton.

Davis lacrosse player Macie Wood, with five goals in a win over Syracuse for the second-ranked Darts

Farmington lacrosse player Ruby Roche, who scored five goals in a win over Box Elder.
