Marie Osmond, Air Supply, and Diamond Rio coming to Layton this summer

LAYTON—The Davis Arts Council (DAC) has announced their summer lineup for the 2021 Summer Nights with the Stars season.  Some of the biggest names in music will grace the Kenley Amphitheater stage. All events will follow local and state health guidelines.

Season ticket renewals began on April 19. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, May 11 at 10 a.m.  At that time, tickets can be purchased online at https://boxoffice.davisarts.org, over the phone at 801-546-8575, or at the DAC box office at 445 N. Wasatch Dr., Layton, 84041. Phone and box office hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.  through the end of April. Beginning May 1, box office hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

As always, there will be a number of free concerts in addition to the special engagement ticketed events. The schedule for ticketed events is shown on the adjacent chart. Here’s a look at the 2021 season as outlined by the DAC:


June 15 – The Everly Set:  You’ll be singing “By Bye Love” and Wake Up Little Suzy” at the Summer Nights with the Stars season opener with The Everly Set! Sean Altman & Jack Skuller celebrate The Everly Brothers who unleashed the sparkling vocal harmonies which influenced The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, and The Beach Boys, just to name a few.

June 23 – Asia featuring John Payne: John Payne became the front man of the supergroup ASIA in 1992! With hits like “Heat of the Moment,” “Don’t Cry,” and “Only Time Will Tell,” ASIA is one of the most recognizable rock groups of the 80s. This influential British rock group will appear at The Kenley for the very first time.

June 28 – GENTRI: GENTRI is back at The Kenley Amphitheater! The fan-favorite trio of gents, along with their talented accompanist and signature “Cinematic Pop” sound, will grace the stage once again. Do not miss these three tenors cover the classics you know and love, as well as perform some of their original hits.

July 7 – The Barefoot Movement: Heartfelt, energetic, and down-home, The Barefoot Movement is heralded as one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene. With crowds teeming with enthusiasm at every performance and new fans joining the fold across the nation, the word is surely spreading, and the message is clear: barefoot is better. Tickets – Orchestra: $20 | Reserved: $15 | General Admission: $10


July 10 – Marie Osmond: Utah native and favorite, Marie Osmond, is gracing the stage at The Kenley Amphitheater for the very first time! Marie has spent five iconic decades in the entertainment business performing as a successful singer, television performer, and talk show host, dancer, actor, author, entrepreneur, and public speaker. Do not miss this one-night-only show.

July 17 – The Greatest Piano Men: Billy, Ray, Elton, Stevie & More: The Greatest Piano Men, the electrifying production celebrates the world’s greatest pianists and entertainers. With a seven-piece band and three pianos, The Greatest Piano Men celebrate the hits of Elton John, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, and many more!

July 21 – Sons of Serendip: Back by popular demand, this billboard charting quartet Sons of Serendip will once again perform in Layton! After headlining our 2019 DAC the Halls event, the boys are back with their ethereal and emotionally stirring interpretations of pop music, arranged with a unique blend of vocals, harp, piano, and cello.

July 30 – Jeff Allen: Dry Bar comedian, Jeff Allen’s rapid-fire humor centering on marriage and family is a hit with all ages! A live comedy favorite, Jeff has appeared on Showtime, Comedy Central, VH1, and more. At times both gut-wrenching and hilarious, Jeff’s one-man show, The America I Grew Up In, offers a unique glimpse into his crazy world.

Aug. 2 – Dennis Edwards’ Temptations Revue: For three decades, Grammy Award Winner & Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Dennis Edwards of The Temptations toured the world with this handpicked group of talented singers and musicians, Dennis Edwards’ Temptations Revue! Now, to honor the late Mr. Edwards, the group continues to perform to rave reviews and enthusiastic audiences.

Aug. 26 – Diamond Rio: Achieving success with their 1991 debut single “Meet Me in the Middle,” Grammy Award Winners, Diamond Rio, has proven to be one of the biggest groups in country music history. With a plethora of hits like “One More Day,” “Beautiful Mess,” and “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” this show will take you back to the good ole days of country music.

Aug. 31 – The Brit Pack: The most authentic British Invasion experience this side of the Atlantic! The Brit Pack takes their audience on a journey through a dynamic blend of British classics known and loved by all, including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, David Bowie, Elton John, The Who, Oasis, Radiohead, The Police, Amy Winehouse, and many more.

Sept. 3 – Three Dog Night: Legendary music icons, Three Dog Night, celebrating nearly five decades and claiming some of the most astonishing statistics in popular music. In the years 1969 through 1974, no other group achieved more top 10 hits, moved more records, or sold more concert tickets than Three Dog Night! This one-night-only show is a can’t-miss event!

Sept. 18 – Erica Hansen: A Tribute to the Women of Country Music – Dolly, Reba, Tanya, Emmylou, & More: Davis County audiences know Erica from tapping their toes along to her tribute to Patsy Cline and jamming out to the music of the Carpenters, Carole King, and Linda Ronstadt. She has been entertaining local audiences – from Cedar City to Logan to Heber City for years and she is particularly happy to be back at Ed Kenley Amphitheater.

Sept. 30 – Air Supply: The trademark sound of Russell Hitchcock's soaring tenor voice and Graham Russell's simple yet majestic songs created a unique sound that would forever be known as Air Supply. Hits like “All Out of Love” and “Making Love out of Nothing” helped this music duo skyrocket to fame. Bring your date for a night of music and romance at The Kenley Amphitheater.
