Davis Tech Foundation annual golf tournament raises $70K for scholarships

The Davis Technical College (Davis Tech) Foundation hosted its annual golf tournament on June 29 at the Bountiful Ridge Golf Course. The tournament brought together golfers, Davis Tech Foundation members, and corporate sponsors to enjoy a game of golf and raise money.

Although the golf tournament is the Foundation’s major annual event, the Foundation fundraises for scholarships year-round. During the 2021-2022 academic year, the Foundation awarded over $360,000 in scholarship funds, and 59 students received scholarships directly supported by the golf tournament.

Davis Tech thanks Young Automotive Group for their platinum sponsorship. Gold sponsors this year are US Development and Steve Adams, CPA. Other significant sponsors include Davis Hospital and Medical Center, Texas Roadhouse in Bountiful, Ed Kenley Ford, Method Studios, America First Credit Union, Hughes General Contractors, Ogden Clinic, Goldenwest Credit Union, Hillcrest Bank, and Orbit Irrigation.

“Each year the Foundation Golf tournament raises funds for student scholarships at the Davis Technical College,” said Marcie Valdez, Davis Technical College Foundation director. “More than 60 students will benefit from the gift of education because of this event. We will raise just over $70,000 this year for student scholarships and program needs. This is a record for us, and we are so grateful to the many partners who have stepped up at a time when our students need it the most.” λ
