BOUNTIFUL—The Urban POP art exhibition now open at the Bountiful Davis Art Center brings in works from 25 international artists. Curator Todd Marshall has on display work from artists Nikki De Saint Phalle, Mike Dargas, Ruben Rojas, Denial, Okuda San Miguel, Lori Nelson. Camomile Hixson. Michael Dr. MUND, Sam Hon, Kehinde Wiley, Jasper Johns, Laurence de Valmy, Brandon Boulton, Jacob Haupt, Jared Lindsay Clark, KAWS, François Bel, Brian Dean Christensen, John Bell, Matthew Sketch, Roland Thompson, Jonas Leriche, Kym Bloom, Nicolás Maximillion Jimenez, and Mönsr Yusef.

Artworks by street artists are now being sold at some of the highest dollar values to date, continually setting auction records with artists like Banksy and Plastic Jesus.

Just recently Sotheby’s and other major auction houses have included the top urban pop artists to their events. The public loves urban pop art, but has very little opportunity to view it.  These artists that once were finding their creativity in the streets are now selling and being collected and sought after in galleries and museums.

The exhibition will be on display through Sept. 10 at BDAC, 90 N. Main Street in Bountiful. Hours are Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday noon to 5 p.m. You can also get more details at https:  http://www.bdac.org/urban-pop.
