Kaysville GIVES was started as a way for the community to help make Christmastime just a bit easier for those that live and go to school here in Kaysville. It started by helping The Family Enrichment Center in Kaysville with 10 families, Mountain High School students, the Bountiful Food Pantry, and Safe Harbor. The residents were able to come to City Hall and select tags off the Christmas Tree there and return them in time to organize the gifts. We were hopeful to be able to fill the Christmas request from each location.

In 2019, Kaysville moved all of the physical Christmas Tree Tags to virtual tags on the website www.kaysvillegives.com. It made it so that more residents could be reached and allowed Kaysville to support more of the needs in the community. During COVID, they were able to utilize Amazon Gift Lists so the giver could shop online and have the gifts sent directly to the City Offices making it safe for the giver and the volunteers. The residents really liked being able to give that way. Donations could also be made online and that was another great way to make it simple to donate.

Over the last seven years the vision and goal of Kaysville GIVES has always been to give back to those who are in need here in our own community. That is why so many love to be a part of this. Kaysville GIVES has been able to achieve that goal every year thanks to our amazing business and resident donations from families, church groups, youth groups, neighborhood groups, and service groups.

In 2022, Kaysville joined a partnership with Young Truck and Trailer and the Young Caring for Young Foundation. Young Truck and Trailer received all donations at their location in Kaysville, provided trucks and trailers for transportation of the donations, and received all financial donations through their foundations so all donations can be tax exempt. It was a great support.

We were able to deliver Christmas to over 120 families last year with the help of amazing volunteers, residents, and generous local businesses who donated gifts for tags, ordered donations on Amazon, and made financial contributions which go a long way. We couldn’t do it without the support of our wonderful community.

Kaysville GIVES begins Nov. 20 and goes until Dec. 8. To find out how to get involved you can go to our website at www.kaysvillegives.com. For questions or to inquire on how to get involved email [email protected] .

Also, don’t forget the Fill the Firetruck Event this year, which will be held on Dec. 2, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa and the Grinch will be there to help celebrate.
