CENTERVILLE—Young Powersports XL Centerville, Utah’s largest powersports dealership, held its grand opening last month at 547 Frontage Rd. in Centerville. In addition to the ribbon cutting, Utah’s 2024 Teacher of the Year, Carly Maloney from Viewmont High will be awarded a scooter worth over $3,000.
The 117,000 square foot facility holds ATVs, motorcycles, Side by Sides and more – anything to enjoy the outdoors.
“It’s been a long time coming,” said Nate Gailey, general manager of sales. “We started two and a half years ago.”
Gailey said they chose the spot because it was a central point between three stores merging into one. “We acquired Renegade Sports, Tri City Motorsports and Moto United in Bountiful. Centerville is exactly between Bountiful and Farmington.”
It’s a great place for service, he said. “Now customers don’t have to travel to get to a larger dealership. We can take care of them. We’ve added more bays so they can get in and out for service, which makes it significantly shorter.”
The dealership carries machines from 12 manufacturer brands, said Gailey. “We’ll have a Honda building north of this that services all Honda customers with parts, sales and service.”
Before, customers who wanted to look and compare machines had to travel between three stores, he said. “Now they can just walk back and forth from one section to another and it will be staffed in that brand. Whatever the customer needs to be happy most.”
There’s also a Daily Rise Coffee shop and a place where customers can get their nails done. “We offer that free of charge,” said Gailey. “There will be a place for kids to play – something for everyone.”
Both dads and moms can get their nails done, he said. “We’re fortunate to have staff who are trained and licensed in that. When they’re not doing nails, they help in admin, etc. The team wears multiple hats.”
Outdoor sports are not the only thing the company focuses on. They also want to be a part of the community. “We couldn’t operate without community support,” Gailey said. “We want to raise funds for charity events and things like the Teen Centers.”
The building has a large courtyard, he said. “We want it to be more of a place for the community to come than just powersports. It’s here for whatever way they want to use it. Ski Utah, Davis Education Foundation or for the City of Centerville’s Christmas party. It’s an open space for people to get together.”
