Woods Cross

The Woods Cross High cheer team placed second overall at the 5A state championships at Utah Valley University Jan. 24 in the All-Girl division. The Wildcats took second in Show and fifth in Sideline/Timeout Dance.

Davis

The Davis High cheer team was third at the 6A state championships at UVU Jan. 22 in the All-Girl category. The Darts were second in Show, third in Sideline/Timeout Dance and fourth in Sideline/Timeout Cheer.

Bountiful

Bountiful finished fifth among the eight teams who qualified for state in the 5A All-Girl category. The Redhawks were third in the Timeout Cheer division.

“We were pleased to represent Bountiful at state,” said co-head coach Heather Larsen. “The talent and spirit from this squad is contagious. 

The varsity BHS team this year consisted of Kira Bell, Cici Church, Mia Creer, Brooklyn Evans, Sydney Harding, Courtney Hogge, Claire Ingram, Londyn Kerr, Sophie Lyman, Alex Makris, Jaidyn Manwill, Sage Meyer, Amanda Misener, Keira Morrill, Dakota Nance, Gabby White and Addison Workman.

Larsen and co-head coach Lisa Racker choreographed the Show and Timeout Cheer with Mia Creer assisting with the Show routine and Eve Barlow with the Timeout Dance.

On the 2024-25 Junior Varsity squad this season are Lacee Bybee, Ella Clegg, Julia Finklea, Camille Keller, Meg Lee, Brooklyn Misener, Shannon Page, Kaitlin Robert and Bella Zarate.

Viewmont

Viewmont placed in the top five in the state in two categories. In the Sideline Timeout Dance division, the Vikings were fourth and then in Sideline Timeout Cheer they came in fifth.

“We were so grateful to represent Viewmont High at the 5A state championships for the third year in a row,” said head coach McKenna Hardy.

On the 2024-25 VHS squad this season were Lainey Allington, Addie Bangerter, Elli Bergk, Alyssa Charlesworth, Ireland Christensen, Abigail Dautel, Addy Dowdy, Noah Harker, Isabelle Howland, Daisy Keller, Isabella Page, Lillian Parker, Raelyn Plummer, Olivia Redd, Lexi Reeds, Emma Seeley, Ana Sessions, Ellie Sessions, Ingrid Tea, Charlie Thornley, Reese Tibbits and Addison Watkins. 

Hardy was assisted on the coaching staff by Courtney Frasier, Belle Cella and Carly Clampitt and fellow choreographer Austin Robles.
