NORTH SALT LAKE—Several North Salt Lake residents have been appointed as members of various citizen committees, working with city council members on projects for the community. The committees were created late last year by the council to receive more input from residents on different events.
Council member Ted Knowlton introduced Kyle Poulter as his nominee for the Trails and Active Transportation Committee. He also introduced Emily Carr as his nominee for the Civic Events Committee. And he introduced Rachel Chase as his nominee for the Arts Committee. All received unanimous approval from the council.
Council member Suzette Jackson also made two nominations. She introduced Nicole Whetstone as her appointment to the Health and Wellness Committee, and Catherine Johnson as her appointment to the Civic Events Committee. Council gave unanimous approval to both appointments.
Councilmember Lisa Watts Baskin introduced Brent Crowther as her appointment to the Trails and Active Transportation Committee. Councilmember Tammy Clayton introduced Tom Hewitson as her appointment to the Arts Committee, Carol Wakefield as her appointment to the Civic Events Committee, and Ryan Oakes as her appointment to the Trails and Active 357 Transportation Committee. All were approved unanimously.
Other committee nominations and appointments will be forthcoming. The committees will begin holding meetings shortly, and each appointment will serve under established time limits before members are considered for reappointment.
