Davis

Davis lost to Pleasant Grove 17-10 March 25. The Darts got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the first inning but the Vikings struck back with six runs in the second and were up 7-6 going into the sixth inning when they added 10 runs through the final two innings to end the game.

Nora Sunderland and Jewel Korth both drove in two runs while Chloe Peery, Serena Roth, Riley Jaques and Cambell Christensen each recorded an RBI.

“We played some good ball but came up short,” said head coach Todd Street. “We just need to finish some innings by getting the third out. We are getting a little bit better each game. We hope to be ready for region play in a couple weeks.”

Against Viewmont March 26, Davis won 17-6. The Darts came out strong with two runs to begin the game and adding eight more runs in the middle innings to take control of the game.

“Our bats came alive with seven home runs with Riley Jaques and Nora Sunderland with two home runs a piece,” Street said. “Chloe Peery, Hadlee Isaacs and Cambell Christensen each had a home run as well.”

Jaques had five RBIs and Korth also drove in a run to add to the solo home runs Sunderland, Peery, Isaacs and Christensen hit. In the circle, Christensen struck out eight Vikings batters and pitched a complete game in the big win.
