Bring the whole family out to see how Main Street transforms into "Magic on the Sidewalk" (between 100 North and 200 South). Attend this event to see lots of styles of chalk art created by talented artists of all ages. The festival is free and runs from June 4 at 8 a.m. to June 7 at 8 p.m. There will be food trucks on Friday night. The Chalk Art Festival is an annual community event and has been a tradition for many years as a kick-off to summer. Kids can come to Town Square to create their own masterpieces; chalk will be provided.

There are close to 250 artists, including teams, covering about 230 sidewalk squares. A panel of three judges will select the top artwork and awards will be presented on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Town Square, including a people’s choice award where viewers can scan a QR code to vote on their favorite artwork. There will be a live band, Johnny and the Roadrunners, starting at 4:15. Mopsy will play following the awards ceremony with an open mic session to cap off the evening. The artwork will be available long after the event ends.
