Major I-15 closure this weekend starting June 28
FARMINGTON—Drivers need to plan ahead this weekend for a full freeway closure of northbound I-15 between 200 North and Park Lane starting June 28 at 10 p.m. through 11 a.m. on June 29.
Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) crews will finish demolishing the second half of the Shepard Lane bridge, which was permanently closed in May and also repave and restripe the road. The closure will create a safe work zone for crews while the work is being done. Motorists will be detoured to U.S. Route 89 and Main Street in Kaysville during the closures.
In addition this weekend in North Salt Lake, on June 28, from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m., the southbound I-15 off-ramp (Exit 313) to I-215 (the Belt Route) will be closed for lane striping, which was rescheduled after heavy winds and rain. Traffic will be detoured to 500 South in Bountiful.
For the latest information on traffic restrictions during construction, visit the UDOT Traffic website or download the UDOT Traffic app for iPhone or Android. Drivers can also follow UDOT on social media including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
