The puppies thrown from a moving vehicle on US-89 Oct. 22 have been reunited with their mother. Last week a family found the missing puppy and had been caring for it, a Davis County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post said. The puppy was brought to Animal Care of Davis County Oct. 31 and happily reunited with its mother.

On Oct. 22, authorities said Memphis Lor was traveling southbound on US-89 at highway speeds between Fruit Heights and Layton when he allegedly intentionally and knowingly threw six, three-week-old puppies out of his vehicle window, killing two of the puppies and seriously injuring another. Two other puppies were not injured and one puppy had not been located until last week.

Lor also allegedly intentionally left his dog, the mother of the puppies, on the side of the road near Bountiful Pond. The dog was severely malnourished. Lor was arrested Oct. 29 for seven felony counts of torturing a companion animal.
