Veterans Day is a time to honor those whose sacrifices help keep our country safe. To commemorate the day, a special Veterans Day ceremony will be held at Bountiful Veterans Park Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. The event features guest speakers Chris Simonsen, Dr. Ron Mortensen, Chole Chinchilla and John Robertson. There will also be performances by the Woods Cross High School Concert Choir and the Bountiful High School Band. The South Davis Metro Fire Department will do a military flag raising for each branch of the military. The ceremony will finish with Taps, a 21-gun salute and a Royal Air Force fly over by five retired Air Force pilots in their own planes. Veterans Park tours begin at 12:15 p.m. The Veterans Park is located at 795 South Main Street, Bountiful.
