Turkey Drive a huge success for local pantries
The 2025 Turkey Drive coordinated by the Bountiful Food Pantry and Open Doors Pantry in Layton was conducted on Nov. 12, with hundreds of families in need benefitting.
There were more than 1,100 turkeys donated, along with $23,000 in cash donations and a total of 25,000 pounds of food donated. Six partner organizations received funds from the drive, and nine partner organizations received turkeys.
“Thank you for your help with this year’s turkey drive. It was a huge success,” said Rebekah Anderson, executive director of the Bountiful Food Pantry. “I’d like to pass on the gratitude from other organizations who are receiving these turkeys and funds. Many of them would have clients go without turkeys this year if it weren’t for your help. Feeding families is what we are all about.”
All pantries are still in need and welcome donations as the holidays approach.
