DAVIS COUNTY—Early in the morning, Feb. 16, a group of hikers found a woman in her 50s deceased in the Mueller Park area and contacted Davis County Dispatch. 

Davis County Sheriff’s Office detectives and deputies responded to the scene and processed the area. 

The identity of the woman, who is a Bountiful resident, will not be released as notification of next-of-kin is underway. 

There are no obvious signs of foul play at this time. The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death, according to a Davis County Sheriff’s Office release. They do not believe there is any threat to the public.
