BOUNTIFUL—The Bountiful Davis Art Center (BDAC) is once again hosting the annual Davis School District Art Show to give young artists an opportunity to showcase their talent. The opening reception will be April 10.

Students submitted their artwork to a juried exhibition at the BDAC, curated and judged by artist-in-residence Jaxsen M. Layton. Winners selected at both the middle and high school levels will receive awards in several categories. First-place winners will be awarded cash prizes in each category in recognition of their outstanding artistic achievement, a release said.

One graduating senior is selected as Best in Show and awarded a Summer Artist Residency at BDAC. The residency provides the student with the opportunity to work in a professional arts center and engage with the creative community, the release said. 

There will also be two additional exhibitions. Last year’s senior Best-in-Show winner, Zerti Mekuria and Educator-in-Residence Madison Bradford Stephens with her exhibition “189 Feathers: Fracture, Endurance, and The Life that Emerged.”

The shows will open on April 10, 2026, with a reception and awards ceremony at 7 p.m. and run until May 8, 2026. Anyone is welcome to step into the imagination of the future at BDAC. Art is always free to see here.
