A Blue Star Families Military Breakfast hosted at Layton Hills Mall Sunday, April 12, was held in recognition of Month of the Military Child.

The event was centered on gratitude for the sacrifices military families make and the importance of community support.

Local families were treated to a special VIP breakfast followed by an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at the aquarium inside Layton Hills Mall. It gave families the opportunity to connect with one another while children enjoyed interactive experiences. Parents were able to have heartfelt conversations and the kids got a chance to meet animals up close.

“Military families are such an important part of our community, and Military Children

Month gives us a meaningful opportunity to celebrate and recognize the resilience and

strength of these incredible kids,” said Glady Larsen, Marketing and Community

Engagement Manager at Layton Hills Mall. “We’re proud to partner with Blue Star

Families to create special moments that bring families together and show our

appreciation.”

“Blue Star Families is committed to strengthening military families by building

community and connecting them with resources and opportunities,” said Marcie Valdez,

Executive Director of the Utah Chapter of Blue Star Families. “Events like this provide

meaningful experiences where military children feel recognized, supported, and

celebrated alongside their families.”
