BOUNTIFUL—A standout Davis High girls soccer player, who also went pro, and her husband, who plays for the Mets, are bringing that experience to their own community as investors in a local “health optimization and recovery center” that promotes all-around wellness. Alyze will open its doors in Bountiful June 1 with a ribbon cutting from 11 – 1.  

“I’m kind of a Swiss army knife right now,” said investor Mikalya Cluff. “I’m getting things off the ground and running, just kind of filling in with whatever is needed. It’s an all in one health facility. We’re calling it a health club.”  

It has a gym, sauna, cold plunge and recovery modalities, she said. “We have a whole medical center that has root cause treatments, including peptides and hormone therapy and blood work panels. Then there is an additional recovery area that has red light beds, massage tables, compression boots, muscle recovery, things like that.”

There’s also Pilates and yoga classes, said Cluff. “In addition to everything I’ve named, we also have a TPC spa section right as you walk in. They’re sub tenants so they're not Alyze but they complement what we do and they do services like facials and kind of your aesthetic type things like dermaplaning, microblading, micro needling, those kinds of treatments.”

Alyze also has a board certified plastic surgeon. “What we’re offering here are things related to when people are coming and doing all the health and wellness stuff,” said Jerry Chidester, MD. “We’re doing skin tightening procedures, skin care and all the things that complement what you’re coming in here for.”

So it’s very unique, he said. “No one has done that and so it works out. We have a full team here. We have a nurse practitioner, a PA that’s going to be here and a physician associate and she’ll be here full time to do injections and things.”

There will be an aesthetician who is going to do all the skincare, said Chidester. “There’s a lot of different treatments we can do.”

All of this is non-invasive so it's a quick downtime and quick recovery, he said. “Someone can come into the gym, get treatment and leave. It’s a much more condensed version.”

Cluff said she was drawn to the facility because of being a professional athlete. “I’ve always been so involved in taking care of my body. So working out, fitness, wellness all of those things have been such a focal point in my life. The same thing for my husband, whereas he’s also a professional athlete playing baseball.”

The couple has always had a love for this world of fitness, she said. “We had the opportunity to get involved with the group and bring it to life in one facility rather than going to five different locations of these different services. It’s just always been a dream of ours.”
