HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah—Airmen, families, community leaders and mission partners gathered at the Hill Aerospace Museum today as Col. Eric Quidley assumed command of the 75th Air Base Wing during a traditional change of command ceremony.

Lt. Gen. Jennifer Hammerstedt, Air Force Sustainment Center commander, presided over the event, thanking the community for its continued support of Hill Air Force Base and highlighted the wing’s critical role in enabling operations across one of the Air Force’s largest and most diverse installations.

She expressed confidence in Quidley’s ability to strongly lead the installation and wing.
“He is an experienced commander with a proven record of leading organizations in both logistics and operational environments,” she said. “He has demonstrated that he’s more than ready to be here today.”

Quidley arrives at Hill with more than two decades of experience in logistics, sustainment, and installation support. He most recently commanded the Mission Support Group at Holloman Air Force Base and held a leadership role at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex at Tinker Air Force Base.

Quidley said he’s excited for this new assignment and is impressed with the work being done at Hill.
“I've been watching this unit very closely…and what I have seen so far is a remarkable team,” he said. “A team that knows how to directly enable readiness, sustainment and rapid response. A team that exemplifies what it means to be a true power projection platform and how to deliver integrated capabilities.”

He said he is “extremely excited” to be a part of the team.
“As we work together these next few years, I look forward to learning from you and leveraging our collective experience shoulder to shoulder as we lean into the future to generate readiness and ensure mission partner success,” he said.

The 75th Air Base Wing provides essential installation support to Hill Air Force Base, enabling fighter operations, nuclear sustainment activities, depot maintenance, and test range missions across more than one million acres. The wing supports more than 27,000 airmen, civilians, contractors, and family members.
